PLANarama design, produce and install within the retail and events markets with a primary focus on retail window and in-store display.
What makes PLANarama special is the full service we offer. We oversee the whole process from the initial brief, through design, production and installation. We are super-organised and do whatever it takes to get the job done to the brief’s specifications.
When we produce a scheme we make it our job to understand the client’s brand and their marketing strategy. In an increasingly competitive market we provide the creativity, skills and knowledge to make the most of our clients’ high street presence, helping them stand out from the crowd, attract attention to their brand and increase sales.
Most of our clients have been with us for years, some from the beginning of PLANarama. Our varied client list means we have a very broad knowledge base. We have produced displays as diverse as a large roll-out scheme for over 780 Carphone Warehouse stores, a technology-driven and moving scheme for Ted Baker stores and one-off windows for Cartier.
At PLANarama we pride ourselves on our creative approach to the design of retail display. We’re not afraid to think outside the box and challenge expectations.
The PLANarama Story
We’re proud of our humble beginnings here at PLANarama.
PLANarama is Neil’s brain-child. His parents ran their own business and it was something that he too wanted to do. In 1999 the time seemed right and PLANarama was born.
Neil’s vision was to create and run a successful business that would gradually expand until it reached the point where it could become a global entity.
He chose to work in retail window display and visual merchandising where he hoped to attract the best clients and focus on merging creative practise with great service.
With no capital behind him Neil set to work.
He conducted some research and approached some retailers. One of these, Ted Baker became PLANarama’s first client and remains our most long-standing client to date.
Neil then hired two people to help him, Kay and Stevie. PLANarama’s first home was in his spare bedroom in London’s Docklands. The three of them were soon tripping over each other and so it was time to move. Short-term home number two was an office and design room in Brixton. PLANarama then moved to the Clapham site where we’ve been ever since.
Over the years we’ve expanded the space we work in and taken on more staff but only when it was practical and economically possible. Smart business sense has enabled our ambitions for PLANarama to become a reality.
This is the beginning of our story. Keep your eye on our website or subscribe to our news feed to see how PLANarama progresses.
